About Stronghold Connection Counseling

Therapy Rooted in Understanding, Clarity, and Stronger Connections

Chasity Goddard Online Counseling

Stronghold Connection Counseling provides online therapy for adults and couples in throughout Tennessee. My work focuses on helping people navigate anxiety, trauma, depression, burnout, relationship challenges, and the complexities of neurodivergence in a way that feels grounded, respectful, and practical.

Many people come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck in patterns they do not fully understand. My goal is to help you make sense of what you are experiencing and build a clearer path forward—one that supports both emotional healing and healthier relationships.

I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (License #2850). As an associate, I am currently practicing under clinical supervision as part of ongoing professional development and ethical training. I earned my Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2025 from Liberty University. My clinical experience includes work in a range of treatment settings, including:

  • Inpatient psychiatric settings
  • Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP)
  • Community mental health services
  • Private practice environments

These experiences have shaped a broad understanding of how anxiety, trauma, depression, burnout, and relational challenges impact people across different levels of care and life circumstances.

I support individuals and couples who are navigating a wide range of emotional and relational challenges, including:

  • Anxiety, chronic worry, and panic
  • Trauma and unresolved past experiences
  • Depression and emotional exhaustion
  • Professional burnout and caregiver fatigue
  • Relationship conflict and communication struggles
  • Premarital concerns and relationship preparation
  • Neurodivergence, including ADHD-related challenges and overwhelm

Many clients are high-functioning on the outside but feel internally exhausted, disconnected, or uncertain about how to create lasting change. Therapy provides a space to slow down and understand what is happening beneath the surface.

Therapy should not feel like being judged, analyzed, or “fixed.” It should feel like a structured, supportive process that helps you understand yourself more clearly and build healthier ways of responding to life.

My approach is:

  • Attachment-focused – exploring how early and current relationships shape emotional patterns
  • Trauma-informed – prioritizing safety, pacing, and emotional regulation
  • Neurodivergent-affirming – respecting different ways of thinking, processing, and experiencing the world
  • Emotionally focused and practical – combining insight with real-life tools for change

I integrate evidence-based approaches including:

Therapy is collaborative. We work together at a pace that feels manageable and sustainable.

My areas of focus are not separate issues—they often overlap. For example:

  • Anxiety is often connected to trauma, burnout, or relationship stress
  • Depression can develop from chronic stress, disconnection, or unresolved emotional pain
  • Burnout frequently overlaps with perfectionism, anxiety, and caregiving roles
  • Relationship struggles often reflect deeper attachment patterns and communication cycles
  • Neurodivergent experiences can intensify stress, overwhelm, and emotional fatigue

Because of this, therapy is not limited to one label or diagnosis. We look at the full picture of your experiences and how they interact. This is the foundation of my work across:

Many clients find that being in a familiar environment helps them feel more grounded and open during sessions.

People often come to therapy unsure of where to start. You do not need to have everything figured out before beginning.

In our work together, you can expect:

  • A calm, structured, and supportive environment
  • Clear attention to your goals and concerns
  • Collaboration rather than instruction
  • Practical tools alongside emotional insight
  • A focus on patterns, not just symptoms
  • Respect for your pace and readiness

The goal is not to “fix” you. The goal is to help you understand yourself and your relationships in a way that creates real, sustainable change.
